Decathlon becomes a partner for Paris Olympics 2024

In 2024, Paris will host the Olympic Games. As with every edition, large international conglomerates are the sponsors of what is the most watched sporting event in the world. The 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee, chaired by French former Olympic kayak champion Tony Estanguet, has given the project a French touch.

In addition to the French national lottery Française de Jeux, Paris 2024 has teamed up with Le Coq Sportif as the official supplier for the event. The equipment supplier will also act as the official partner for the French Olympic and Paralympic team from October, 2021. Paris 2024 has also chosen to work with another French sports giant. Sporting goods maker and distributor Decathlon has officially joined the adventure for the French Olympic Games. With around 1,000 days to go until the event, its new partner, which has a retail presence in 70 countries globally, has made a commitment to Paris 2024 with three deliverables.

Decathlon will equip around 45,000 volunteers with products specially designed for the occasion. The volunteers will supervise activities, tests, and meetings linked to the event. Decathlon is a distribution giant and has 330 points-of -sale across France. From 2021, the business will harness its network across France to involve its teams, and above all its customers, in the event.
