Made with quinoa grains and veggies, this tasty upma is made in a typical South Indian way. It has a tadka of mustard seeds and curry leaves, along with some urad and moong dal. Step 1 Rinse quinoa
Put quinoa in a strainer and rinse it thoroughly under running water.
Step 2 Heat oil in a pan
Now heat oil in a pan. Add cumin and mustard seeds. Let them splutter for a minute. Now add asafoetida, moong dal and urad dal. Stir and let them saute for a few minutes. Add chopped ginger and dry red chilli and mix.
Step 3 Add veggies
Now add chopped onions and curry leaves. Stir on low flame for a few minutes. Now add carrots, capsicum, peas and green beans. Add salt as per taste and mix.
