Kansas State’s Felix Anudike-Uzomah is a ‘pro’ in the making

Alabama’s Will Anderson, Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson and Oregon’s Kayvon Thibideaux dominated the headlines as college football’s elite edge rushers a season ago. But quietly, in Manhattan, Kansas, a similar presence has started to earn his praise. Felix AnudikeUzomah has been turning the heads of opposing coaches and NFL personnel staffs.

At 6-foot-3 and 252-pounds, Anudike-Uzomah finished his sophomore campaign with 52 tackles, 11 sacks and six forced fumbles. Let it be known that he’ll come into the 2022 season as a dominant force to be reckoned with. The Wildcats’ talented defensive lineman is someone nobody wants to see on the other side of the line.

“Felix is definitely a pro,” An opposing Big 12 coach said. “He’s a big problem off the edge and also very solid in run support. They’ve done a good job with him at Kansas State.”Anudike-Uzomah entered this past season as a relatively unknown player, having only played in five games while seeing limited action as a true freshman.

He burst onto the scene in 2021, earning First Team All-Big 12 accolades while also being named the conference’s co-Defensive Lineman of the Year. With the surge he saw in 2021, Anudike-Uzomah may be an early favorite for the Defensive Player of the Year in the Big 12 for 2022.
