NFL Draft 2022: USC WR Drake London still a top prospect despite ankle injury, Mel Kiper Jr. says

Drake London was a star every time he stepped on the field for USC. Unfortunately for the Trojans wide receiver, he did not get to truly showcase his skills during his final year in college after he suffered an ankle injury in October. However, after getting comparisons to Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Mike Evans, Mel Kiper Jr. is still high on London heading into the 2022 NFL Draft.

Speaking on SportsCenter Tuesday during colleague Todd McShay’s Mock Draft 1.0 reveal, Kiper Jr. explained why he was still counting on London to be a high pick despite the injury.

“Jameson Williams is my top wide receiver, but Drake London, wide receiver from USC drew comparisons to Mike Evans,” Kiper Jr. said. “Now he got hurt in late October, ankle injury. Had he been healthy all the way through the season, I think Drake London could have been one of those guys, but the fact that injury occurred didn’t allow him to finish off strong.
