New York announces $18M for advanced buildings technology

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Friday announced $18 million in funding for projects that use advanced technologies in energy-efficient buildings through the state’s Next Generation Buildings Innovation Challenges program.
The NextGen Buildings Innovation Challenges are administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and are funded through the state’s 10-year, $6 billion Clean Energy Fund. The funding supports projects that use innovative building technologies, including ground source heat pumps, cutting-edge geothermal technologies and novel ways to manage airflow.
