No. 3 Georgia takes on No. 2 Michigan in this year’s Orange Bowl, which also serves as the College Football Playoff semifinal. Georgia is an 8.5 point favorite in the game after finishing the regular season 12-1, with their only loss coming to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.

Stetson Bennett, who completed 64.1% of his passes for 2,325 yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions, leads Georgia. Running back Zamir White leads the team in rushing with 718 yards and 10 touchdowns. James Cook also has 619 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.

The key to Georgia’s success on the season has been its elite defense. Through 13 games, the Bulldogs allowed just 9.5 points per game and 253.9 yards allowed per game. Linebacker Nakobe Dean leads the team in tackles (61), sacks (5), and is tied for the team lead in interceptions (2).

Kirby Smart went in-depth on the playoff matchup against Jim Harbaugh earlier this week while also discussing Georgia’s recruiting class.
