The Virginia Beach-themed Nike Dunk SB Low sneaker design won an Instagram contest and will be made for purchase.
Kenny Jones entered the contest last week. His design went viral two days after he posted his entry.
Each contestant had to create a shoe inspired by a city of their choice. Jones chose Virginia Beach, where he moved to in the 1st grade and was raised for most of his life.
The three-round contest spanned over almost two weeks. Jones’ design maintained heavy support throughout each level.
For the final round, the contest’s host formed a committee which ranked each design. Committee members consisted of Nike SB connoisseurs, skateboarders, skateboard shops, a former sneaker designer and former NFL wide receiver Victor Cruz as a celebrity judge.
