Liberty quarterback Malik Willis is considered to be one of the top prospects at his position in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Flames concluded their 2021 season this past Saturday with a 56-20 win over Eastern Michigan in the LendingTree Bowl.

In the win, Willis completed 13 of 24 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns to zero interceptions. He also rushed for 58 yards and two more scores on the ground. Willis finished the season with 2,857 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 878 rushing yards, and 13 rushing touchdowns.

“It means the world to me to be able to see the look of the guys’ faces after becoming the first team to win three-straight bowl games in school history,” Willis said. “We couldn’t end the season on a loss. That would hurt my heart forever and I didn’t want to go out like that. To be in a bowl game for the third time in a row in our third season of being FBS means so much to not only us as a team, but to our university and the people who support us. It’s not just about us. We take pride in Liberty University and the people behind us.”
