Entertainment is part of the package when a ticket is purchased for the Virginia Cantaloupe Festival, and this year’s event is certain to get the attendees on their feet.
The front lawn of Berry Hill provides an ideal place to sit and listen or show off dance moves while enjoying the music of this year’s entertainers, The Konnection Band and Crawford & Power.
Kicking off the fun at 5 p.m., The Konnection Band will take the stage with their signature sound. No stranger to Southern Virginia, the party band is known for its high energy performances and engaging the crowd. They play a wide variety of music including top 40, rock, country, R&B, beach and oldies.
“Entertainment is a key factor in planning for our festival each year,” said Nancy Long, the festival’s planning committee chairperson. “Determining entertainment is a decision the planning committee does not take lightly. Making sure there is a type of music for everyone is always a priority,” commented Long.
