Entertainment Under the Stars — the Coldwater Recreation summer concert series — is under way at Heritage Park off Northshore Drive.
At 7 p.m. on Tuesdays through Aug. 24, local musicians take the stage to entertain community members who gather in the park.
Pomegranate Whiskey Band will be playing Aug. 3; County Line Band on Aug. 10; Latitude on Aug. 17; Crispin Bocanegra on Aug. 24.
Several who sat in the shade listening to the music of Scotty Butters on Tuesday, said they come for the event as much as the musician.
Gary and Kathy Crandall of Bronson looked at their calendar and decided to attend because they had nothing else going on.
“It is a beautiful evening,” Crandall said.
Kathy Hayes of Coldwater has been enjoying Entertainment Under The Stars for years.
Many times she would attend because a particular band was playing, but often she comes for the experience.
“It’s a perfect way to spend a summer evening,” Hayes said.
Living within walking distance of the park, she invited her neighbor, Val Shedd. They grabbed lawn chairs and joined about 80 others under the trees.
