Bassett Healthcare Network announces that COVID-19 vaccines are now available in Primary Care and Pediatric clinics across its health system, including at all regional health centers and School-Based Health Centers. Immunizations are available for Bassett patients at these sites by appointment.
Patients aged 12 and older in New York State are currently eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Those 18 and above are eligible to receive either Pfizer, Moderna, or Janssen (Johnson & Johnson). Family practitioners around Bassett Healthcare Network say this expanded access in outpatient settings is an important step in our fight against COVID-19.
“Obtaining vaccines in our clinics is a wonderful stride towards improving access for all our patients to this life-saving vaccine,” says Gretchen Hodgdon, MD, Bassett Healthcare Network’s division chief of General Internal Medicine and Primary Care. “This greatly broadens our connections to patients and families who may be eager to obtain the vaccines in the comfort of their own doctor’s offices. My hope is that every eligible patient will turn to their trusted providers for support, education, and reassurance. We are all in this together.”
Patients who are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine are encouraged to visit their practitioners.
