Performers gather for Steubenville Gospel Music Night

It was a rainy night in Downtown Steubenville, but that didn’t stop 15 musical acts and one special guest from taking the stage for Steubenville Gospel Music Night.

The Sycamore and Ohio Valley Youth Centers put on a one night show that combined the arts with the Gospel.

“We’ve got everything from Christian rock bands all the way to hip hop to dancers, a mime team and everything in between,” Bobbyjon Bauman, Director of Sycamore Youth Center said.

Highlighting the acts Sunday evening was special guest Ashley Marina. She’s an America’s Got Talent season 15 finalist, and also the winner of Valleys Got Talent about a year and a half ago. She returned to perform.

“Gospel and all the arts are a beautiful way to really portray yourself as an artist, no matter what kind of music you sing,” Ashley Marina said. “But, I honestly think Gospel is a very beautiful thing, talking about God and giving his message around the world.”
