A new retailer is coming to Marshalltown’s Main Street.
Home decor and fashion franchise Real Deals will soon call 122 E. Main St. home with an opening date yet to be announced.
Real Deals specialty store features affordable women’s clothes, accessories and home decor. The company has stores located across the country, including Ankeny and Cedar Falls.
Marshalltown Central Business District Executive Director Deb Millizer is ecstatic about the new store as both a leader for the downtown area and as a shopper.
She frequently hears from community members saying the downtown area needs more retailers. The Real Deals location can also complement other businesses by spreading some activity to other boutiques, shops and restaurants in the downtown area Millizer hopes, as she anticipates shoppers will come from surrounding communities to check out the new retailer.
“The more we have in the downtown is a bigger draw,” Millizer said.
