Gwen Stefani and her fiance Blake Shelton are reportedly preparing to celebrate America’s Independence Day weekend by tying the knot.
The rocker and country singer obtained a marriage licence in Shelton’s native Oklahoma on Tuesday, suggesting the nuptials are imminent, as the permit is only valid for 10 days. Sources tell TMZ the couple is planning to become husband and wife on Saturday, with the celebration taking place at an outdoor chapel on the Nobody But You crooner’s ranch – weather permitting.
The stars, who split their time between Gwen’s Los Angeles home and Blake’s estate, are already in Oklahoma with the No Doubt frontwoman’s three sons, whom she shares with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
They are said to be sending a private jet to collect the bride-to-be’s family members so they can all attend the big day, three weeks after Gwen’s loved ones threw her a surprise bridal shower.
Gwen and Blake got engaged last October after almost five years together, but previously revealed they had put their wedding plans on hold due to the Covid-19 crisis. The marriage will be Blake’s third – he was previously wed to Miranda Lambert from 2011 to 2015, and Kaynette Williams from 2003 to 2006.
