Cincinnati’s new Icon Music Center gives public first look at venue

After two years of planning and a cost of over $20 million, The ICON Music Center opened its doors to the public Sunday.

The venue did not disappoint music fans who attended the open house.

Rosemarie Moehring of ICON Music Center welcomed guests to the area’s newest music performance space.

“It’s a unique venue for the region with a flexible capacity. It will give us the capability to bring a lot of artists to town who previously didn’t have the capacity to play at,” Moehring said.

With a performance lineup that promises something for everyone, programming the venue will be a crowd pleaser from every seat.

Music fan Elaina McCormick is excited to see a concert at the state of the art arena.

“The three levels are really great, you can see the stage without being on the floor,” McCormick said.

Looking around the indoor and outdoor performance space, McCormick and other visitors were awed and inspired.
