Air travel is starting to take off again, even to international destinations.
“At the beginning stages I thought it was awesome because planes were empty, it was like a limo,” business traveler Greg Cole said.
Cole has been traveling over the course of the pandemic for work.
“And then one day I went on a flight and people started flying again,” Cole said.
“A lot of people are flying. A lot of families visiting friends, visiting relatives, it’s that business sector that we’re still trying to bring back,” Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport Director Marty Piette said.
Travel agencies are also seeing an uptick in travel interest.
“We are seeing a lot of people requesting information about certain destinations, including Mexico and the Caribbean,” Fox World Travel business relationship director Rose Gray said.
