Rob Zombie’s Munsters Reboot Images Reveal Two of Herman’s Coworkers

The latest images from Rob Zombie’s upcoming reboot of The Munsters have arrived, featuring two of Herman Munster’s funeral parlor co-workers.

The latest images from musician-turned-filmmaker Rob Zombie’s upcoming adaptation of The Munsters highlight two of Herman’s co-workers. The new film has teased plenty of what fans can expect from the big-screen adaptation of the short-lived 60s era sitcom, though fans still have no idea what the film’s actual plot will be. Zombie has proven himself completely devoted to the project, claiming he fought for twenty years to take it on.

When it was first released in 1964, The Munsters fared reasonably well and was certainly unique, but for whatever reason, it only managed to survive for two seasons. This could be attributed to the overwhelming popularity of the Adam West Batman series at the time, but it’s also arguable that audiences of the late 60s simply may have not been ready for such a bizarre concept as Hollywood monsters living as a suburban family. Regardless of how well the TV series fared, however, a feature film adaptation has been a long time coming, with the IP’s last feature-length theatrical release coming in 1966.
