New two-day music festival slated for September in Ashland

A new music and arts festival featuring nationally known artists is scheduled for September in Ashland.

The first ever Foxfire Music & Arts Festival will be held at the Ashland Riverfront on Sept. 24-25, according to a news release from the Paramount Arts Center.

The festival will feature national touring acts such as Old Crow Medicine Show, Whiskey Myers, Colter Wall and Blues Traveler. Local and regional artists, art vendors and live art exhibitions will also be featured.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have such a great set of national headlining acts for both nights and we’re equally excited to be showcasing the local and regional talent that our area holds,” Paramount Marketing Director David Miller said. “This event is a celebration of the artistic heritage of the entire Tri-State, and we’re proud to show off both the music and art that our region is becoming known for.”

Miller said the festival will likely be the largest ticketed event ever held at the Ashland Riverfront.
