Duke University women’s basketball associate athletic trainer Catherine Lass has been selected as the athletic trainer for the 2021 USA Basketball Women’s U19 World Cup Team, which will travel to Debrecen, Hungary Aug. 7-19 for the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup.
Lass joined the Duke staff in July of 2019 and has covered the women’s basketball team since her arrival.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity to work with USA Basketball,” said Lass. “I’m proud to represent Duke and Duke basketball. Basketball is the livelihood of Duke University and it’s exciting to be a part of it. And I’m blessed to be a part of this program. At the end of the day, this is the best of the best, I’m working with the best of the best, and I’m happy to be here.”
Over the weekend, Lass spent three days in Denver, Colo., attending the USA Basketball Women’s U19 World Cup Team Trials.
