Econyl creates B2C platform for conscious consumers

Econyl, a brand of regenerated nylon made from recycled waste owned by Aquafil, is going direct-to-consumer with the launch of an online shoppable platform. The platform launches with 15 brands, with plans to roll out other sustainably minded businesses in the future, as it brings a selection of products made from Econyl all in one place for the first time ever.

At launch, the Econyl e-shop includes swimwear, womenswear, menswear and accessories, from brands such as ACE, Botanical Beach Babes, C’est la V, Garmont, State Of Matter, Tenue De Soleil, WAO, and more. Consumers are able to shop products by category according to responsible values, such as Vegan, Zero Waste, Eco Design, Ethical Labour, Healthy Seas Member, Size Inclusive and Local Production, amongst others.

Moreover, the platform hosts a variety of educational content to strengthen consumer knowledge on a range of sustainability topics as well as combat misleading and confusing information. “In this very challenging historical moment, we are looking to the future with very different eyes. We stepped out of our comfort zone, something we know very well,” said Giulio Bonazzi, CEO and chairman of Aquafil.
