Cynthia Erivo takes the stage at A Capitol Fourth

Two-time Oscar nominee and Grammy winner Cynthia Erivo rocked two distinct and stylish looks with a pair of performances at A Capitol Fourth on PBS.

The 34-year-old singer is coming off her portrayal of Aretha Franklin in the National Geographic series Genius.

She performed an Aretha Franklin classic – Freeway of Love – in a pre-recorded performance from Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The singer sported a stunning and sparkling long-sleeved teal mini-dress for her first performance on the Sunday night special.

She completed her look with gold hoop earrings and a pair of matching teal pumps as she sang the hit 1985 song which appeared on her 30th studio album, Whose Zoomin’ Who?

The performance was played for the thousands of onlookers who gathered at the National Mall in Washington D.C. for the fireworks display.

The night kicked off with a performance of the National Anthem by soprano singer Renee Fleming and host Vanessa Williams singing God Bless America ahead of Erivo’s performance with host Williams and special guest Kermit the Frog introducing Erivo.
