Battle Ground HealthCare purchases new clinic building

Battle Ground HealthCare (BGHC) officials recently announced they have been awarded $1,087,043 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to purchase a new building. Since opening the clinic in 2011, Battle Ground HealthCare has been providing services in the Center Point building located adjacent to the Meadow Glade SDA Church in Battle Ground.

The new building located at 1910 SW 9th Ave, Battle Ground, which previously served as a Legacy Health clinic, provides 7,600 square feet of space for the organization. This new space will allow for additional dental bays, medical exam rooms, physical rehabilitation therapy rooms and meeting space. It also includes space for a vaccine clinic. This plan is to expand services to offer Influenza and COVID-19 vaccines at no cost to the uninsured and underinsured. The new location is situated along a primary bus route, increasing access via public transportation, a barrier with the previous location.

“The need for free health and wellness services in Clark County right now is enormous and has only grown during the pandemic” says Sue Neal, MAOM, BSN, executive director for BGHC.
